Just a note on consistency - if Magnolia had a "modest, but strong" showing of $22 million, it's odd to think that MI:3 "struggled" at the box office with $133 million - over six times Magnolia. For a trilogy, in which sequels generally suck, $133 million is beyond jackpot. And as for Lambs for Wolves' $15 million, that was just a bad movie, regardless of how the public feels about Tom Cruise.

I can't watch Cruise as an actor anymore, his public persona is too huge for us to ever see anything but Tom Cruise in a role. But to call $133 million a struggle isn't being realistic.

I hope he gets recognition again for Valkyrie and ...

I cringe hearing flaming liberals in Hollywood but hey I respect their opinions and I fume inside when atheists and other religious groups get into a fight in the forums of Golden Compass,Harry Potter,Narnia,Passion of Christ,Da Vinci Code but I try to listen with heart and symapathy because that's how real Christianity should be.

Redstone apologized to Cruise,Spielberg and Geffen(Dreamworks guys) on the Daily News. Redstone is also fighting with his own daughter Sherry about Paramount. Redstone wants to be best friends with Cruise(he is singing a different tune)

Respect everyone's beliefs and religion. Im Presbyterian and I dont go hating everyone else beliefs. Take a look at the gay wars vs the Christians on Ledger's death. I want no part of that or the religious war in Iraq.

All war films after 9-11 dont do well especially antiwar films.
I dont see Sweeney Todd,Charlie Wilson by Hanks and Pitt's western movie opening huge yet you people dont make noise.
Also MI-3 opened the same nos.as Batman Begins so lay off Cruise.
